My sister

business trip

In my recent business trip to KL, we visited 2 clubs and an apartment in different locations. They are so far apart that on the first day, we visited the apartment and had meeting with the operation manager and 2 others who jotted down during the meeting. Then we headed to a club to look at the sports facilities. The next day, we checked out early from the hotel after buffet brunch to visit another club. There was a fourth place we plan to visit but there wasn't enough time for that. So, I really don't have much time to blog other than when I am back in the evening and use my spare time or tv time to update my blogs.

A Good Night Sleep

That's why I'm screwed. I am probably going to keel over from hypertension and die young. That is, if diabetes or a stroke doesn't get to me first. Sounds very dismal. I know.
Here's just a check list on sleep apnea that I've been reading up on:
Daytime sleepiness - yup that's me. Halfway through the day I have to fight the urge to nap. There are even times when I napped twice in a day.
Change of metabolic function - I just can't seem to get a schedule going with my eating, work and workout habits because I just can't sleep at will. Like Lem. I envy those that can just sleep at will.
Sleep disordered breathing - Ralph Downey III, PhD, of the Sleep Disorders Center at Loma Linda University Medical Center says that in the case of patients with sleep apnea, "the airway blocks off due to obstruction and they stop breathing for 10 seconds to a minute, which is repeated hundreds of times in a night. The body, in essence, is being assaulted by the damage done from intermittent lack of oxygen to the heart, brain and other important organ systems, and yet such an assault goes unreported." I just drive Lem batty at night.

What would make someone open their business in a state that has higher taxes and more regulatory expenses than other states? Perhaps this is why Google will be opening a server farm just north of Charlotte. The cost of living and doing business is much lower than California. Besides that, there are a lot of farmers in North Carolina, so Google should be able to find the best people available to farm their servers. I'm going through all the feelings of wondering if us living apart like this is even worth it. There is so many other things that add to it that I wont even go into. It just sucks!! And then there is Sam. It's not even good days and bad days anymore. It's just minute by minute. I had given up hope on getting the little folding treadmill that I wanted off of eBay, however, things worked out in the last few moments. Me and the seller were discussing a mutual withdrawl from the auction and refund of my money when I was able come up with the difference in the cost of shipping and handling between what I had already paid, and what FedEx charged for shipping to Alaska. We haven't forgotten the whole feral cat episode. We have probably received more comments and mail on that issue than on any other issue (that doesn't involve a certain large woodpecker species) since the site began. However, to start our FJS campaign, we need a bit more information, and for legal and strategic reasons we can't ask Jim ourselves. So, the first thing we need is a PDF or a link to the actual animal cruelty law (don't know if it's a statute, ordinance, or whatever) that Jim is accused of violating. The name of the presiding judge or officer and the prosecuting entity would also be useful. We don't have time right now to dig this up but we're guessing that someone out there has the info handy already.

I was thinking

I was thinking, 'Sei lor, yesterday I had a headache because of it, today I'll get a migraine.'So in the afternoon, brought Aidan for yumchar, just because we can sit comfortably at an air-conditioned place, and also to takeaway food for tonight. I don't feel like cooking. Then we went to a stretch of shops, where I bought him a bag of rubber toy giraffe, elephant, dog and cat. Got some watermelon for tonight to cool down.Afternoon came and went, we lay in bed for Aidan's arvo nap, but he wasn't sleeping. I think he is at this stage where he's going to wean off his nap. But I have to keep him active till at least 8.30pm as he will nod off sitting on the sofa at about 5.30pm. Anyway, since it was hot, but fine compared to yesterday, I filled the tub with about 3 inches of water (remember water restriction!) and dunk his toys in there, and he had a good time.

my letter

I handed the clerk my letter any way. As I looked for a pen on the counter when she said something at the speed of someone who had repeated the same verbiage too many times. But I did catch the phrase "explosive" and "hazardous material" which made me look at her in complete surprise. She then repeated the new post office spiel. This time I caught something to the effect of "does the letter contain explosive or any hazardous material?" My brain immediately processed this and answered her without thinking who I was talking to, "Well, if this check to the county bounces, that would be hazardous to me.

Guess

Guess what I did on Christmas Day? Caught the 24 hour marathon of VIP with Pamela Anderson. And what did I do on New Years Day? Another 24 hour marathon of VIP. I know I did the same thing last year because that's when I started blogging. And I blogged about watching the 24 hour marathons, just like I am doing now. I know, there's not much content to the show. The story line sucks, but once in a while you just need to have that mindless show of machismo and eye candies.
Lem and I had such a great holiday. All the eating has gone to the waist line so we have both made a pact for our New Years Resolution - Wake up early (no more 2 in the afternoon rising), eat regularly, and no matter how busy we get our workout can not be put aside for the day. We're doing well on our 2nd day in the New Year. We slept last night at midnight and we were up at 7:30AM. I feel like I get more done when I wake up early. Since I write (write, write, and more write) all day, I get more inspiration and my mind is more alert. We skipped our midnight snacking last night and we are all gungho about today's workout. I even put together a weekly schedule and will be posting it up the wall.

little tidbit

Just saw this little tidbit on Engadget (my favorite gadget site if you don't know by now) and there's a bunch of speculation (aka rumours) that they're going to implement a 60gb Hard Drive in the PSP2 or the refresh. There's been rumours before of the PSP refresh or PSP2, whichever you want to call it, but having a nice 60gb hard-drive inside a PSP would make it much more attractive for those who wanna watch movies or play games, since 4gb mem stick pro duo's don't come cheap.

my experience

so many people come here searching for Tata Sky , lets tell them how my experience is going. I had scheduled an installation about 6 days ago and today was the date scheduled at around 4-5 pm , but guess what , NO ONE came , lame service by a company which both Tata and Sky's name. On calling they had no excuses , just rescheduled the whole thing to tomorrow 9 am , lets hope this time they come on time. This is the way this goes , they take your money in advance and then they they and hold you for as long as possible.
