designing...

Designing a site in general and your site specifically is always a bit tricky unless you are a designer by trade. You want something that is not too complicated or turgid so it runs well and is user friendly. Yet at the same time you still want the site to be something that is distinctive that separates you from the rest of the rapidly expanding pack. Content makes a lot of difference as well, of course, but the design of your website can be equally good at attracting an audience.
There are many times when blogs are linked to by other bloggers merely because they have changed the design of their site. This blog included. Naturally with bloggers you will know what they think of the new layout rather quickly.
In that quest to do something special and interesting with your design a reliable source of tips helps. As with everything on the web; someone has been there and tried/done that before you. There will be someone who can tell you what not to even bother trying and what really works. Not using those resources is both silly and a waste of time. We all are busy people and time is not exactly an ever expanding commodity.

South Africa is one of the favorites to win any championships in cricket. The South African team is very well balanced team in all departments. Whether it is about bowling, fielding, batting everything is good but they are an unlucky team. Being such a good team they did not reach the T-20 World Cup Final. The history also proves it all. In the ICC World Cup as well they have never crossed the Semi-final stages. Though there is no fault in the team but it’s a fate I should say. They once reached the semi-final of the world cup when England beat them where Duck Worth Louis method was applied. Had the rule been not applied South Africa would have beaten the English team which the cricket lovers know. Following this World Cup South Africa again crashed out of the preliminary rounds when they hosted the World Cup jointly with Zimbabwe and Kenya. In the next edition of the World Cup too, they were eliminated in the semi-final by Australia. This is the game which no one would forget. The final score was leveled but due to the run rate Australia proceeded to the final and won the ICC World Cup as well.
In this T-20 World Cup too, they were a very good team but just couldn’t go beyond the semi-final. The likes of Graeme Smith the skipper, hard hitter Justin Kemp, technically sound batsman Hershelle Gibbs and A. B. D. Villers too could not do anything. Nevertheless South Africa is a very good team in fact the best and some day they will lift the cup and dominate the world of cricket like the Australians are doing right now.

what would YOU do

just curious. what would YOU do in this situation.

the neighbor across from you sets up lil’ toy traffic cones for his son to maneuver his toy car around in the cul-de-sac (sort of like an obstacle course). that’s all well and good but some of the cones just happen to be positioned in front of your driveway. and you need to head out and do some errands so you open up the garage and start the minivan. as common courtesy, you wait a minute or so to give the neighbor enough time to move the kid and the cones away from your driveway. after a minute or so, you look back and see that the cones are still positioned out on the street with the neighbor and his kid sitting on the edge of their lawn.

do you…?

a) back up your driveway slowly and then maneuver your minivan in a careful manner so that you don’t run over the cones, all the while smiling and waving at your neighbor and his lil’ son.

b) get pissed off at your neighbor for being so inconsiderate, back up without being too concerned about his toy cones and drive away without acknowledging said neighbor.

c) get angry at this neighbor’s ongoing inconsiderate ways and back up in a forceful manner, run over his cones on purpose and pull away at top speed with your middle finger proudly displayed out your driver side window.

d) stop your vehicle at the end of your drive, get out and kick the traffic cones out of the way while shouting expletives at your shitty neighbor right in front of his lil’ brat of a kid.

yeah, yeah, i know what Jesus would do. BUT what would YOU do?
