Google PageRank

It seems as though Google has done another PageRank update in the past week or so. And what I don't understand is the PageRank of this blog dropped from a 3 to a 0, despite increased backlinks from high PR websites and increased traffic.
Perhaps it may be due to the amount of outgoing links - I'm not sure. Anyone have any ideas?
