shouldn't businesses operate where they can keep expenses low? Yet, I don't quite understand the appeal for companies to operate in states like California and New York. What would make someone open their business in a state that has higher taxes and more regulatory expenses than other states? Perhaps this is why Google will be opening a server farm just north of Charlotte. The cost of living and doing business is much lower than California. Besides that, there are a lot of farmers in North Carolina, so Google should be able to find the best people available to farm their servers. And like a lot of the crops in North Carolina, I'm sure that Google will have no problem getting their crops subsidized as well.
