This past weekend

This past weekend Joyce Meyer held a conference here in Spokane for three days. I went with some friends to one of the events and was amazed at how large Joyce Meyer Ministries is. I had never heard of her before but she is huge around the country and around the world.

I was turned off at the beginning because she talked about tithing for over half an hour before getting into the actual speech. But once she got into the actual sermon on humility it was quite good. I don’t mind if whomever is ministering is a man or woman as long as they know what they’re talking about. She was definitely a good speaker and made a bunch of great points.

It was a good conference aside from the huge lecture on tithing - I understand that money is a huge aspect (especially when they don’t charge anything to get into the concert) but over half an hour? Is that really necessary?
