That simple day trip can turn into a fun family time.If a weekly vacation is out of the cards, why not take an extended weekend trip. If that's out of the question, maybe just staying overnight at the local beach. Those two days can feel like paradise if it means getting away from the stress or work and home.
Day trips are often a great way for an affordable, fun getaway. Museums often offer discount days. Matinees offer discounted prices for both movies and plays. Parks can offer fishing, boating and hiking with little or no cost to you.
Get creative. Just because you can't travel far, doesn't mean that you don't need a break once in awhile, and so does everyone else!
